My Handicapping and Betting Philosophy There are a vast array of handicapping styles, and some adhere to part of them, but I adhere to all of them. I utilize countless systems I have developed over the years, along with emotional, situational, and motivational factors. The one thing I have been able to do with tremendous accuracy is make my own pointspreads. I make them before the next day's game, so I am not influenced by what happened in one game. I am able to spot line value, and exploit it with success. The one thing I don't do is waste selections, for the sake of having one. The only games I will ever put out, are those that I have handicapped countless different ways, and are deemed to create a high likelihood of beating the pointspread. (7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 10) Well, I wasn't going to do it, I wasn't going to do it, but as I just keep looking at the numbers I had to do it. We'll go with a miniature play on the Gaels tonight for the simple fact that I think that they really are that good. I think that this is an NCAA Tournament-caliber team and I think that they are going to prove it with a tough, clutch road win against a tricky Loyola team. The Gaels have been mentally tough enough to win at Manhattan, at Fairfield, at Richmond and at Denver. Manhattan and Denver are two of the toughest mid-major venues in the country to win at and they did it. This team can be tough-minded when it wants to and I think that they will dig deep here tonight. Loyola is no joke. But they have been padding their resume with wins over the dregs of the Metro over the last few weeks. They just haven't proven it to me yet. So until they do, I will lay the points and take the Gaels.

NBA \| Feb 10 Dallas Mavericks vs. Minnesota Timberwolves	Total 190 un-110 at BETONLINE	> 3h.
These are two middle-of-the-pack offenses and Dallas has one of the best defenses in the league and Minnesota has been playing much better in that area. We had this total handicapped in the high 180s so there is definitely a couple points of value here on Friday night. Both teams were off on Friday so both defenses should be ready to go in this one. The Timberwolves under at home has been one of the strongest bets in the NBA this season at 10-5. This team was pretty bad defensively last season but they have improved in that area and with scoring down overall in the NBA in this lockout-shortened season, the bookies have often posted too-high totals for Minnesota home games. We think that is once again the case for Friday. Minnesota has been playing very well recently on D, allowing an average of only 87 PPG in their last three contests. Dallas has a very stout defense and they allow only 91 PPG on the road this year. At the same time, the Mavericks offense scores only 91 PPG on the road this season. These teams met a couple weeks ago and the total went way over the posted number with the final calculating to 195. A close look at that game shows some abnormalities, however. The Timberwolves, who won the game, shot well above their season average from the field and they were lights out from three-point land (43% compared to their 33% this season, and they took a lot of three-point attempts in this game). They also got to the line for a whopping 33 shots and they made 28 of their free throws. As a result of that game the bookies have overadjusted this line (that one closed at 183.5). Since the Mavs were dominated last time we think they really clamp down on defense in this one and we expect the winner here to score around 95 with the loser a couple points back.

The Bucks are 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games playing on 1 days rest. Milwaukee is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games. The Bucks are 7-2 ATS in the last 9 meetings in Cleveland.
